Malin grön 4.0

Firstly, I love the opening - "Some of this really Happened."

Anyways. Oh my world, we have been excited over this movie for so long! Unfortunately, it was to the point that when I saw it, it wasn't that special anymore, it was just ... ordinary. It is stylish, has really good actors, but it's just kind of good. Not as great as I wanted it to be. And it is sooo long.

Spoilers! It has a lot of good and really funny scenes, but I still can't stop being bothered by some things for some reason. In some scenes everything just feels like overacting and fake, but Jennifer Lawrence, oh myy! My crush on her will probably never die. She is an amazing actor and even in this wacky role she manages to do it perfectly. Anyone besides her would feel fake.

All that said, it's a good movie, I think everyone should see it. My expectations that this would be the world's best movie was probably what ruined it for me.

Rosalyn Rosenfeld: We fight and then we fuck, that's our thing.
Irving Rosenfeld: [Narrating] She was the Picasso of passive-aggressive karate.

Ida gul 4.0I had such high expectations for this film, it simply became a bit boring. But I understand what makes this a good movie. The actors are quite brilliant. Christian Bale .... wowowo this beautiful man, what happened. He is as disgusting as one can be. Jennifer Lawrence is, as usual, totally awesome, amazing and crazy.

Rosalyn Rosenfeld: [Muttering] Don't put metal in that science oven, Rosalyn. Don't put metal in that science... He always treats me like a fucking child, I'll do whatever I want.

[Puts a metal TV dinner container in the microwave, turns it on. The microwave bursts into flames]

Rosalyn Rosenfeld: Oh!
Danny Rosenfeld: [Off-screen] Another fire!
Rosalyn Rosenfeld: No, Danny! Not that one! That one's empty! We gotta use the big one!

The plot is comfortable and it has some funny scenes. But after my high expectations, I was unfortunately disappointed.
I definitely think it is worth seeing, but i don't think it's the best film ever.

Vera grön 4.0Nothing strange with this movie, so it clearly deserves to be nominated for an Oscar. If you collects one of those star-teams, it feels like the film must maintain a certain level. And it does! Everyone is doing a fantastic job and I find it difficult to single out anyone who's best. But someone who makes me super happy, as usual, is Jennifer Lawrence. She's not the star in the film and doesn't get much screen time, but oh, oh what firecracker she is. She is absolutely stunning - I would be glad if she got an Oscar.

I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the American Hustle, I expected a more of an boring crime / thriller with lots of action and blood. But instead the movie was about intrigue with elements of comedy and drama. It might have been a bit to long but otherwise I think I only habe positive things to say; it is entertaining, exciting and worth seeing.
